    1.  Go to the server where the database is to be installed.

    2.  Insert CD or download and run the ZeraWare installation program from web site.

    3.  ZeraWare installShield Wizard will open. Follow directions.

    4.  "ZeraWare User Agreement" window opens. Click "Accept" to proceed.

    5.  "Custom Information Window" opens.

    6.  Set Up Type Wizard choices: Select "Custom"

 a. ___ Complete - to install ZeraWare on one (1) computer.

 b. ___ Custom - to install ZeraWare on a network (2 or more computers).

    7.  “Choose Destination Location” window opens. The Program default location for ZeraWare is the “C” DrivePrograms file. If this is suitable lick OK”.     

    8.  “Select Features” Window opens with three choices.

 a. Full Install - to install ZeraWare on one computer.

 b. Client Only -

 c. Data Base - click here to install ZeraWare on a network.

   9.  "Installing Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE)" window opens.

   10. “InstallShield Wizard Complete” window opens.

 a. ___ Restart Computer Now

 b. ___ Will Restart Computer Later

   11. Reboot your computer. 

   12. “The database initialization is about to start” window opens. Click “OK”.

 

   13.  A window will open as the data base is being installed. DO NOT CLOSE.

 

   14.  The data base has been installed. Next, install ZeraWare on client workstations.

    Client Only Install

  15.  Go to each computer on the network where ZeraWare will be used.

• Using the ZeraWare install program (set up.exe) copied to a file or CD, install ZeraWare on each network computer. 
• The "ZeraWare Install Shield Wizard" window will appear. Follow the installation prompts.
• The "Set Up Type Wizard" window will appear. Click "Custom".
  
• The "Choose Destination Location" window will open. Click the default "OK."
  
• When the "Select Features" window opens. Click "Client Only."
  
• "ZeraWare is configuring your new software" window will open.
  
• An "Installation Complete" window will inform you when the installation is finished.
  
• The first time you run ZeraWare, you must enter the name of the database server when the Database Configuration window opens.

  16. To open ZeraWare from a computer after installation:

• Click the "START" menu on the computer.
• Click "Programs". Locate and click "ZeraWare".

To integrate ZeraWare to work with an existing SQL Server computer:

1. Follow the "Client Only" instructions up to the point where you run the application.
   
   
2. After ZeraWare has been installed, locate the sqlscript.sql file, which gets installed into the ZeraWare home directory (i.e. C:programfileszeraware).
   
   
3. This SQL script file will create the database, SQL Server user account, and populate the database with the initial data needed to run the program.
   
   
4. Make any modifications needed regarding the location of the data and log files. Then run the file from Query Analyzer or an equivalent SQ interpreter.
   
   
5. Run ZeraWare and enter the database server name into the "Database Configuration" window when it appears.
